Use
The King 1000/6000 grit combination whetstone is a very affordable and easy whetstone to use for beginners to knife sharpening. It comes with a plastic base holding the stone in place during the sharpening process.
The 1000 grade side sharpens beautifully and the 6000 grade side polishes the new edge of your knife to perfection.
The 1000 grade face needs to be soaked during approximately 3 to 5 minutes before use. As for the 6000 grade side, it works as a "splash and go" and just need to be regularly splashed with some water during the polishing process with absolutely no soaking required.
