Japanese Domestic Orders and Shipping

For its Japanese customers, Aogami Kyoto is offering free shipping on domestic orders over 10.000 JPY. Orders will ship directly from our office in Kyoto to your door. We usually use Japan Post but may rely on alternative shipping service providers to deliver our products on a cost effective way .

Shipping rates on orders under 10.000 JPY are 1000 JPY.

Please note that 10% Japanese consumption tax is levied on items purchased and shipped in Japan.  

International Orders and Shipping

As far as global customers are not in the very few restricted country where it is not possible to send products, Aogami Kyoto is more than happy to ship to their location and currently ships to 100 locations worldwide.

Your order will air ship directly from our Japan office in Kyoto to your door and  should  arrive at your door in five to seven business days, depending on destination country. 

We usually use Japan Post but may rely on alternative shipping service providers to deliver our products in a cost effective way.

Shipping rates are 2000 JPY flat for international orders, regardless of Japanese yen amount.

Confirmation and information regarding your order

After your order has shipped, Aogami Kyoto will send a confirmation email containing key information concerning order and shipment.

Local Regulations, Customs and Import Duties for International Orders

Please purchase knives/edged tools in accordance with the laws of your own country. We will take no responsibility if any of our items you bought are confiscated (seized) by customs or any other local authorities.

Your order may be subject to VAT, import and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. Aogami Kyoto ships your package DTU, “duties and taxes unpaid”, and does not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be.

If you do incur these additional charges, they must be payed in order for your package to clear customs. Please inquire with your local customs/authorities about regulations and duties before placing an order.
